{"id":152,"date":"2011-02-02T12:14:16","date_gmt":"2011-02-02T19:14:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tabithahart.net\/?p=152"},"modified":"2011-02-02T12:16:42","modified_gmt":"2011-02-02T19:16:42","slug":"web-based-collaborative-qualitative-data-analysis-tool-dedoose","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tabithahart.net\/?p=152","title":{"rendered":"Web-based collaborative qualitative data analysis tool:  Dedoose"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve just recently learned about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dedoose.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dedoose<\/a>, a web-based tool designed for collaborative qualitative data analysis.<\/p>\n<p>Through browsing their website I found that Dedoose supports both qualitative and quantitative analyses. \u00a0Because it&#8217;s web-based it has certain advantages: analyses are updated in real time, there is no need to download any software to your computer, and all of your material is stored (safely?) in the cloud. \u00a0Provided you have Internet access you and your team members can work anytime, anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t speak of the user interface because I \u00a0haven&#8217;t tried it out yet, however\u00a0Dedoose has received positive reviews on a few of the mailing lists that I subscribe to. \u00a0Like SurveyMonkey Dedoose operates on a subscription model &#8212; you pay a monthly fee to use it. \u00a0You can try before you buy, though: \u00a0according to their website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dedoose.com\/LearnMore\/SignUp.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">anyone can try Dedoose out for free for one month<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll get to that *after* this dissertation is done. \u00a0In the meantime, if you have reviews of Dedoose please share them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve just recently learned about Dedoose, a web-based tool designed for collaborative qualitative data analysis.
